Do you have any natural driftwood? If so could be the tannins leaching from the wood. To get rid of the yellowish green tints keep doing water changes about 50% per week or more. Should deterate with water changes.

Hope this helps

Why would you even mention tannins or driftwood? Green is different than brown....

judging by time the light is on and need to clean sides prolly alge try feeding little less too

ok thanks i guys its still looks better but it is coming back. i try less lighting.

I HATE GREEN WATER. im fighting it now in 3 of my tanks. one planted and the others have no plants. i here that UV sterilizers weork wonders on the stuff;)

tuff buget here saving for some new fish.

Why offer solutions when you don't have the water parameters? Without knowing the readings of his tank it's not simply safe to assume it's a lighting thing. He could be putting himself through mini cycles continuously. The green/yellow/brown/hazy look can all be affected by light or cause. A 90% water change may have just done a minor cleanup or algael water or just started yet another mini cycle. Giving tank information is very important to everyone if we are to help you rather than throw a million solutions at you. Water Temp, PH, KH, GH, Nitrite, Ammonia, Nitrate.... other things that will help, lighting, filtration, water change frequency, recent changes to the aquarium which includes new fish, plants, decor, etc. This will provide us with information that can be used to help you rather than having people randomly guess at what may be causing your problem. If you continue to experience your issues and would like to follow these suggestions, it may help to better diagnose your issue.

i don't have water parments. only thing new is 2 swordtails but i had 2 muskie and a bullhead in there before.

Hard to guess at your issue if you don't test your water. Try the above suggestions, if they do not work you should invest in a water testing kit.. it's 30 bucks very well spent.
