Hi. I'm Bill from Culpeper VA. I have had fish off an on for a good many years. Mostly community fish. I recently adopted a 29gal from a friend who moved away. It was stocked with Platys, a Pictus Cat, and a Pleco. The Platys were breeding so much it was getting out of hand, so I gave those away to different friends with nice community tanks. I recently picked up 2 Tiger Oscars, and an Acei. Having had Oscars before, I know that the tank is way too small. First thing I did on that tank was upgrade the HOB filter to a homade wet/dry sump. But this was only for the short term...
Currently, I am in the process of setting up a 90Gal (36x18x30) home for them. I have been reading through alot of threads on this and other forums, and picked up a wealth of information (especially in the DIY area). Hopefully I can contribute as well. I will be posting pics as I get them as well as some drawings of some of my ideas.
