Yep the caudal fin will grow back. I've had bichirs that had fin injuries and the only one that didn't quite grow back was a bent dorsal spine/fin. I treated mine with Ocean Free's General Aid Special to help with the healing and avoid infections, but I'm sure other members have other methods too (ie water change, other meds, change water temp, etc)

You teug is a beauty!!! Too bad i couldnt get one as all i seen sold in lfs are 2 inch specimens, too small for my poly tank.

Thanks....mine is too big for my collection. ...it was nipping all my other polypterus. ...my teugelsi is around 15inches and my other polys are around 8inch on average. . .

You have a very nice collection of bichirs! Like what they said the caudal fin will grow back but you need to watch possible infection, if I were you separate the delhezi and treat it first.
