can anybody help me out with what equipment i would need to filter a 450(rougly) gallon aquarium for a single grey bamboo? she shark isn't bough yet, i have a tank and am slowly collecting supplies for the day that this will all come together. any information from anyone who has owned one of these would be great, also looking for issues that arose that i should be aware of.

any particular brands and or models youve had good luck with in the past? any other advice of needed equipment?

Smaller cold water sharks are around, but expect them to cost a lot.
Rusty catsharks, vairous swell sharks and chain dogfish come to mind right off the bat.

so other than another shark... can a grey have any tankmates SAFELY?

Sure, treat them like any other bamboo shark when it comes to tankmates.

In most benthic sharks that are available for home aquaria - the list for suitable species variable. But it's generally agreed that Angels, Triggers, puffers, Lions, Clowns Damsels & Chromis aren't suitable tank mates for benthic sharks.

Species such as Eels, Groupers, Tangs, & rays tend to be thought of pretty good choices, although they are still a bit questionable.
