questionable dealing with territory issues? one seeing the other as food? etc...? out of those what has had the highest success rate... any suggestions to keep everyone safe?

and what threat does a lion fish pose? is it to much agression in one tank? so to speak....

Dear Shark curious:

First you must - must - must buy the book, Aquarium Sharks and Rays - An Essential Guide to Their Selection, Keeping and Natural History by Scott W Michael.

It is a must for all shark/ray owners.

I have:
2 bamboos
1 epaulette
1 coral cat shark

I cannot emphasize how important it is that you buy that book and tell anyone who has sharks to do so also.

I have met so many aquarists that will spend tons on equipment and fish and not one penny on a good book. Buy the book, then invest in the other things.

Don't get me wrong here, I am on 4 forums total because I have such a wide variety of fish. MFK is by far the best and have the most amazing experts, but there is nothing like having a hard covered book right at your disposal at anytime. Look at it as an investment in education and your fish health.

One man I knew spent $3000.00 on his 55 gallon, yes, 55 gallon tank because he refused to do his homework and his LFS, mine in fact, just kept telling him to buy a book and read and learn. I told him to visit that LFS and the man told me that the LFS owner keeps telling him to read books! $3000 later......... :screwy:

DEFF. eels!!!!!!! they're GREAT with sharks i absolutely love them my eel has been bestfriends with my bamboo shark since day one they're never apart. i have a snowflake due to the fact they're not tht aggressive.

boogie. i worry about buying the book considering how many posts i see on here that state this information from the book is wrong, he was wrong about that, he was off with the temp he was wrong about... etc.... i just worry that i will get more confused than anything else by reading it. thats why im trying to do all my research on here.
