I have a 7 year old cat that always went to the tank and watch for the pleco. When he was there, the pleco would eventually come out and swim really fast in front of the tank and scare the cat. They played this game every day for awhile. Recently, the pleco went to fishy heaven, and my cat sits in front of the aquarium and waits. When he is tired of waiting, he starts to give little cries. I know he can't understand why his friend isn't coming out to play. I am not sure what to do for the cat. It is so heartwrenching watching him wait there.

Any ideas? I will eventually get a new plec, but not for a little while.

I mean an actual cat with fur and claws. Believe it or not, he is the best cat around fish and small animals. All my other cats are older though, and he doesn't have anyone who wants to play with him except his buddy the pleco.

what size tank do you have and what other fish?

My first post here and I had to chime in on this....

My cat goes nuts over my loaches.....

Maybe you could give some of them a try?

Sure!

There are many options out there too for a variety of tanks. I have 3 different kinds in my 60 gallon. Two kinds of little guys and one kind of bigger guys.

How big is your tank?
