Aw, that sucks; after getting it to that point, you'd like to think that you're home free. I lost one about that size awhile back; worst day I can remember in the hobby (and there have been some REALLY bad days)! Sorry for your loss.
 
That really blows. those are great looking fish.

I still can't see a 400 sucking in a fish of that size. Don't beat yourself up over it, these things happen. It's all part of the sickness, err..... hobby. I mean hobby.:D

there is no way a healthy fish would just get stuck there and die..

sorry for the loss, i've had 4 EBJD's so far, and none have gotten past the 2 inch mark.
 
yea if so that must be a very strong emperor cuz a 5 inch fish is too strong to just get stuck to a filter. he might have had sometype of spine failure. thats what happened to my female con. she would swim like veritcal but move horizantal.(her face pointin up vertical but still swimmin horizantal. she got stuck to my filter and died. im sure this is all irrelevant but anyways sorry 4 da loss.
