GROSS algae on wood!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks alhazred for the advice but i guess its a fungus and not algae, and GOOD NEWS, its looking shorter and closer-knit to the wood now so hopefully that is sign that its on its way out. and yeah hes about 6-7in but iv only had him for like 2-3months, and hes more than a year old because apparently VRWC got his fish like a year ago from the store and it was same size and was beautiful but his tank was too aggressive for it so he had to return it and then i went there couple months ago and the poor thing was like on its last leg and VRWC told me that it was a robertsoni so i figured id rescue him and see if he would survive or not, heres some pics of him and you can see on his side where the other fish took away some scales, this pic is from 2 weeks ago and about half the scales half grown back now, he had other bite marks and stuff but this is the only mark that is left, and poor thing was afraid to even come out to eat at first but now hes barely shy at all

thanks yeah hes a completely different fish than when i got him already, he just needs a couple more weeks to finish healing :)

so went out and got two rubber lip plecos today so now its just a wait and see if they help or not, petsmart had just gotten them in and they were on sale for $1!!! :)

So did the plecos take care of the mold?
