Oh i see i thought soapfish was just another word for grouper. That sucks, im starting to not like this fish. I wish i would have read up befor now. He was cheap i got him for $45 and hes six inches maybe seven if you include the tail.

There is a such think as Sixline Grouper. I saw one at the lfs but for some reason the lights in that tank were off
Its more commonly known as a Gold Lined Grouper. Soapfish are in a subfaamily and are not community fish cuz if they get pissed off they release slime that can poison the tank

That what i have because i saw another fish that was called a 6 line but the lines were intact. My fish is more spotted it seems

like calling a square a rectangle, while correct, it's not as specific as saying square

like calling a soapfish a grouper, while correct, is not as specific as saying soapfish
