Milky Way Galaxy,
I ush don't use growouts but I'm in a position where I need to. How long for an rtc and channel cat to outgrow a 100g until how big can I keep them in there? Channel cat is maybe 1-2inches rtc may be a little smaller or 4" max. Thanks guys.

Ight they will be in diff tanks by the way so 11inches I'll move them thanks I just need them to be big enough so the raccoons can't get to them.actually if I get the rtc at 2"-4" how big can I get him In a 10g? I need to beef him up before he goes in the 100g

I kept a rtc in a 10g from 2-6". He was by himself in there. Once he hit 6" I moved him over.

Its really going to depend on how much you feed them. I have never had an rtc but have had acc. My acc out grew a 20 long in less than 2 months. If you feed aggressively you could be looking at less than a year. I am not a big fan of gut loading. Feed a moderate diet and you could get a year or a little more out of the 100g grow out.

I bought my channel cat at 3" In early February 2012. Now in late April he is roughly 8". I have a 75 gallon tank with fluval 405. I feed 3-5 cubes of either plankton, bloodworms or brine shrimp along with Hikari carnivore, night crawlers and live minnows.
