Grow out question - channel cat and rtc

Thanks for all the replies! Rtc is going to have to wait till I can study my (tropical) pond more closely, with temperature swings and all that but channel cat I'll get tonight. Going in the 100g straight away feeding shrimp, blood worms, and more shrimp I'll feed normally with normal wc schedule. Not in a rush to get him in the pond yet.

Is it an outdoor pond? What part of the country do you live in? I had an outdoor tropical pond for a while in the summer and I live in ct. It was tough trying to keep it warm when it rained.

Cali. I've done it before with tropical fishes the pond only getting 70F at the lowest. But that was with different heaters. I got new one supposedly to work better. We'll see about that.
