Growing out a Pleco

It is in a 20, wanting to move to 75 when he is bigger. Eventually I want an 8' long tank. I see them on Facebook market place. When the right one comes along I will pick it up.

I hate where I live ? in Ohio you’re lucky to find a flipping 10 gallon tank on fb market place but everyone else always finds these amazing deals or at least commonly sees big tanks ?

Here is the picture of my pleco. He seems to be growing pretty fast now. I swear he has at least doubled in size in one week. I increased the oxygen levels in the tank to speed digestion. I am feeding him wafers and veggies. He chowed down on the zucchini, but did not touch the squash. Today I added more zucchini and I am trying carrots.

I would make sure this guy gets meaty pellets in addition to the veggies you are feeding. If these guys don’t get enough protein in their diet they can and will suck on the slime coat of fish
