A lot of lower jaws look like that when they are young though.The head still look like a lap
BTW That fish belonged to Yu Chia (CDM) in Taiwan. Here are some photos on how the fish turned out. Not sure how big the hybrid got but judging from his picture, I would think it grew to about 12"-13".

Hmm I'll be sure to keep you updated as it grows. Congixendli, Lapxendli or congixlap I'm still really happy with this little monster. It does look like it could be siblings with that congixendli. Hmm just thinking about congi is making me want one... might need to shoot toyin an email

Adjusting to life in the 125 nicely. Still pretty skittish but I think that might be partially from going from a 15 gal tank with a single spotlight on a couple hours a day for the plants to a 125 with super bright T5's and LED's that are on for much longer and lots more fish and activity
