Growth opposites

My young male odo. I've had him since February and he has grown a whole inch (from 4 - 5 inches).

My male trimac, he grew from 1 inch last April to almost 10 inches right now.

I figured I had shown so many pics of my little wild-caught dovii and my Malawis haps on this site that I'd throw something different up.
 
I am a fan of that trimac.

Has anyone ever stolen live fish before?

The trimac is in a 100 gallon tank that is 60X18X20. It has a poor, tattered pleco for a tankmate. He gets Hikari Gold, Hikari Excel, NLS large fish formula, Dainichi Color FX, Dainichi Primary Krill, Dainichi Ultima, Omega One Cichlid pellets, and Ken's Cichlid pellets. I rotate the foods around a lot. The tank is filtered by a Rena XP3 and two AC 500s. I do a 50% water change on the tank each week. He has really long trailing dorsal and anal fins that you can't see in the picture. This trimac acts like a trimac should, banging the glass and begging for food like a puppy. He is very thick! I am starting to cut back on his food intake some, but it is hard for me cuz I like feeding him.
 
I actually think I was getting better growth rates with Ken's pellets over Cichlid Gold with some fish. But dayaammmm festae look awesome with Cichlid Gold!
