Growth rate of Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, it depends upon the food you give to Jar. More the protein rich food, faster the growth.

My Jar is on diet of BHM & MP & is growing 1 inch per month.

pump it up with stuffed gold fish, stuffed meal worms and night crawlers!!

stuffed= pellets, shrimp inside.

10% water change 3 days a week. epsom salt for better digestion (makes fish get hungry faster). temperature at least 80. (heat also helps them digest by making them comfortable and mover around more).

enjoy.

Thanks, I'm just trying to get an idea on how fast does it grow normally without "force feeding" or something similar.
trying to get an idea if I do get a Jar, how long can it last in my 44"x45" tank cuz the footprint is probably not optimized for a full grown jar, not long enough. ar...so hard to decide..

i would say 1" per month on average.

so your tank is almost a square then? It would last a few months, maybe up to a year. But that tank isnt long enough to forever. All Arowanas need long tanks.

Too bad its not 72 x 45 that would be awsome. (i'm guessing you are measuring LxW)

Wish it was 72" long (or 96"), but then I'll have no way of bring it down to my basement without take down a wall. (it was tough already with just 2 ppl)
