not sure why yours are growing so slow? might just be some slow growers you have, my 7inch pair was from the same lot of eggs as some that was only 3inches fed on the same food [till they was stuffed!] and lived in the same tank, guess its just one of them things.
the growth rate on jags can be slowed down a lil by keeping the water cooler , warmer waters tend to make them more comfterble so the grow faster, that and feeding habbits. and if you want to keep the jag with other fish you might wana put them with cheapos first to see if you got a angry jag or a nice jag . i have an angry jag and she lives in her own 150 gallon tank and eats lizards and pinky mice outa my fingers.
