I guess you can't judge everyone by the way they type then. It seems like there has been an abundance of that kind of post recently, 14 year olds wondering how many arowanas they can keep in the 8'x3' tank they are going to get. Is it school holidays over there or something?

But to answer your question on the growth rate, I doubt if there's many people here with any real experience, but the few things I've read say they grow much faster than laps. Also, if you can find one for sale, it will be a wild caught specimen and will already be a good size, I think the couple of people on here with them got them when they were over 12" already.

Hey hey, let's not be knocking on the 14 year olds.
There are some good ones around.:D
BTW, toyin currently has some 10-12" specimens for sale right now.

ok so to tell u the 100% truth no im not liveing with my pearnts they are actualy dead...... and not im not between the ages of 12 and 17...... i just have any room right now and my wife would kill me if i get a bigger tank unless i get her something really really nice to changer her mind.

ok, to tell you the truth, it sounds like you are FULL of bs. You claim to have bred almost every species of bichir, when most "experts" here haven't even gotten breeding rituals out of theirs. You say you had a dovii kill off a four foot arowana, who apparently lived in a ten foot by six foot tank or bigger. You say you have huge fish but ask noobie questions on whether or not a bichir bichir can fit in a 125g or how big arowanas get. at one time i was a middle schooler, so don't play that "my parents" are dead crap on anyone. If anything i've learned how badly young teenagers lie. Stop spouting lies that contradict each other in nearly every post, and learn to take advice from people trying to help you. If anyone wants a laugh, they need only read your posts. Seriously, go ahead, click on his posts, and quickly glimpse at them.

I wasn't going to say anything more, but thanks Onion... ;)

don't let this bs slide. you can try being polite to them, kindly pointing out that no one here is an expert, that we're all here to have fun and learn from each other, that there is no point in lying and trying to make yourself look better or more knowledgeable...so where's the point in getting defensive when someone tries to help? hope we don't have another skylar on our hands

Actually, I was hoping we we're going to have another skylar...
I missed the first one, so I was hoping I'd get to go through a different one.

Still waiting for those pics of "platinum endli and a platinum seny and my fav was a platnium lap " ;)

Wow! That is some Grade "A" BS

now, i know we are ripping you, but to be honest, all you have to do is apologize. We've had people do the same thing do are doing who apologized and are now among our most valuable members. No hard feelings. The worst thing you can do is either keep up the charade and eventually be banned for trolling or never show up again because either way you'll be missing out on this great community. Just show a little humility, apologize, then join us and see how much you'll grow in this hobby. Who knows, you might be the first person to actually breed those bichirs! :)
