Hey im thinkin about getting some Datnioides microlepis to go with my tank they will be fairly small when u get them like 2" , im wondering will this work with a Arowana ( probally asian ) Around 5-6" ? or will the dats get eaten? and most importanly how fast this guys grows?

I didnt have a problem with a largish asian and small dats, but thats not to say it will always be that way. Even the fastest growing indo would get outgrown my an arowana. So as long as the dat can fit in the aros mouth, there is a chance it could end up as a meal. Indos and most dats grow relativey slow in comparison to other fish.

Right , explain what is an Indo ? ive been checkign all over and i still got no clue what Dat is what !

Indo is a common name for Datnioides Microlepis.
ST/CT or Widebar are D. Pulcher
AT/Silvers are D. Polota
NTT/Thinbar are D. Undcemradiatus
NGT D. Cambelli
those are some of the common names

your dat will grow about 2-3" a year max
your arrow should grow that much each month
dat will get eaten

Water changes, clean water, large tank, variety of diets and they'll grow in no time..

I grew 10 IT's from 3/4" to 4"-5" in 1 year.

Tank - 75 gallon

Filtration: FX5, Eheim 2217 and 2 - AC110. Water changes is done at 50% twice a week religiously

Feeding - massivore delight and aro stix daily, smelt, shrimp, krill, squid, algae wafer 3 times a week.

Right .. hmm i guess i should be lookin for a good size dat then.. but theyr quiet rare so i guess i will have to take some chances ^^

Il be keeping them in a 175 g with a FX5 and a powerhead eheim (no idea if this does any good ) but yeah , and i will try to get them the best food possible.

anyway i saw u should keep them in a school mostly? if i get like 2x Datnoids microepelis will they argue ? should i get one of them? or 3 of them ? or what ? thanks for the replys!

Indos, usually fight with each other. I would get one or more then 2. The more you get, the better everyone will do.
