growth rate

whats the growth rate on a redtail catfish.In other words if i bought one at 2 inches how long could it stay in a 75 gallon.I also have a 200 gallon but dont have enough filtration to power it so until i get a couple fluval f5s i wont set it up.

they seem like beautiful fish,and i heard they can get 5 feet long,just curious about the growth rate.

yes, they can grow a lot in a short period of time.
feeding them fine, I guess that in about 3 months they will need to be moved to the bigger tank

I think i will put one in my 75 for a couple months,in the mean time my 200 gallon should be up in a couple months of cycling.I ordered one for 60 bucks. form jacks aquarium.

yea a 200 should do it for some time...then you need another monster tank and such...lol but their great to have

what are the dimensions of the 200gl ? it should probably be okay in there for a year ..

i just went out and measured it
the dimensions are 72 x 18 x 31

i typed it in a water calculatr and found out its a 180

o well i bought it for 50 bucks at a garage sale.

yep at a garage sale,it was a college students,and his mom actually sold it to me while he was away at a university.she told me to make a offer.
