I've read a lot about how rays r very delicate to change of water. I understand that dechlor removes amonia but wut about the sudden change of water when u just dump her in?

My female motoros that were 4.5-5" in November are about 9-9.5" today.

I've had mine for 5 months and I could swear it hasn't grown an inch! :irked:

I feed it everyday until it is full. My nitrates are around 5-15ppm. It has over 10 feet diameter of space to move around. Why isn't it growing like yours?!

My nitrates are probably higher and tank smaller - they were growing at the same rate in a 125 gallon tank, they're in a 320 now. I feed twice daily and know they're close to full based on experimenting with more food and cutting down little by little until there's never any left.
My guesses are either you're not feeding as much or possibly your ray has parasites?

I do not like the idea of squirt and dump on an overnight shipment.

1) The water temp change could be massive, think of the shock of cold and hot water plus a shift in PH which could be huge and then hardness etc....

Personally I would squirt and then drip as Pete says, if you are worried about Ammonia in the shipment bag then do some mini water changes using your tank water as a larger drip.

Keep the lights off for a couple of days when they go in too.
