my 1" fry usually take about 3 months to get up to 3", although from a single liter some will get to that size faster than others.

With proper husbandry, you could possibly see up to an inch a month, but that is solid growth. Not all of them will grow at the same speed. You would probably be looking at 4-5 months for all of them to be at the 3"+ mark.

This or maybe longer. Peacocks are not quick growers.

Lots of water changes also works for me. If I am trying to grow something out quickly I will do a 20% water change every second day.

I have also found that a power head with an air hose feeding to the outlet that fills the entire tank with tons of very tiny bubbles makes a difference too. You can actually see the fish become more lively in about 5 mins.
