My juruense grows very fast. From 12cm to 30cm it took only 2-3 months. But a little bit slower after that.

September 4, 2015 (12cm)



November 14, 2015 (around 30cm)



December 28, 2015 (around 35cm)



January 15, 2016 (somewhere between 35-37cm)



And just like tigrinus, it never changes position for months LOL

And here is my juruense now, not yet measure it, but I think it's around 40cm. For comparison, that nigers are 40cm and 45cm, just measure them a week ago. So I would say, juruense growth around 7cm per month in average.



I feed my juruense with gambusia, mostly when in breeder tank (1 month), also frozen whole tilapia, and sometimes live goldfish now. IME, compare to the tigs, juruense grows much much faster.

Yes I'm aware of that about the flash zebras and I have no problem using the name when I see a nice looking jur.

I think I just lucky enough get this beauty juruense one, also you can read the writing "AYO-GAL" on its body (mean: come on girl), that makes this jur more special to me personally... LOL
