They're a bit strange in the way that if they eat one day, they dont eat the next day. Iv only just got them to eat massivore but they also get cichlid gold aswell as mussels and prawns.
That sounds like a marvelous diet! The odd eating habits will slow down they're growth though. I have a Xingu who is growing slower than molasses but it's because he's a finicky eater. I don't know if he will ever get out of that

I hope by the time they're big enough to go into my main tank with all my other fish that they'll be better eaters because there'll be a lot of competition and will still be the smallest fish in that tank. Im just waiting for them to grow a couple more inches which for peacock bass shouldn't take long, but i think mine are the exception

Are there any other fish in the tank that may be intimidating them?
They eat less when they're scared of tank mates. Also, you only have 3 bass right? I would up that number to 4 or even better 6. They seem to loosen up and eat more when they're are more bass

I would get 2 more bass just to help with this until you put em in your main tank. You will notice a chNge in them for sure. And if 5 bass is too much for your main tank, you can always sell of 2 ;)

How big are the fish in your main tank?

They're In with a pangasius which is around the same size as them. He tends to just do his own thing and leaves them alone. I'd love to get more but im limited due to having too many fish. Also the bass iv found for sale tend to be much smaller than mine and just as expensive.
The biggest fish is my silver arowana, he's about 22". He's the problem with the peacocks being too small. My arowana doesnt back down from a challenge. When he was smaller, (15") he ate my clown loach which was about 4/5". He's also got a taste for biting my thumb when i put my hand in the tank

Other than the arowana, there's an albino pangasius (16") 2 tinfoil barbs (10" and 12") tiger oscar (10") and a sailfin plec (14")

Do you mean in your main tank? You can always sell a couple of the bass to lower the numbers when you're ready to put them in the main tank. And the longer you wait to get more, the more expensive they will be. Assuming you even want more.

Including the peacocks and the fish in my main tank, im fully stocked.
If i come across some roughly the same size as mine, i might get em to help mine grow then sell them on as you've suggested
