I was under the impression that the max sizes for the two species were 4/3 meters, for the Nurse/Tawny. That's what I get for reading on Fishbase

Yeah - both the Common Nurse & Tawny Nurse have confirmed max sizes in the range of 3.05-3.65 meters (about 10-12 ft). With possible estimated max. sizes in the range of 4.0-4.5 meters (13.1 -14.75 ft). And BTW this is based on dozens of sources- not just a single source.
Still generally speaking the Tawny Nurse appear to be about 20-30% larger than the Common Nurse at birth, and about 7-10% larger at maturity. So generally the Tawny Nurse appears to be larger than the Common Nurse.
