my 10'' JD is completly peaceful though.

That is true. But I think it would be pretty rare to get 5 aggressive cichlid species to live peacefully with angelfish. If his cons started breeding everyone would really have issues. Same deal with red devils.

MOST JD's dont get much bigger than 9-10" anyway. Old, Bent spine males commonly reach 10", but the majority dont get past 10".
