WELLLLLLLL. I was walking through a deserty plain next to my house in orange county when i found a bunch of green boxes next to a fence bordering a golf course by my house. I curiously walked up to it when i read "rodent trap. CAUTION rat poison"
I was very suprised and even more curious. SOOO i grabbed a stick in checked it out. Inside there were blue oats. I guess its supposed to get the rats to eat it. then i saw a tail. but it wasnt a rat tail it was a spikey armored tail. So i dumped a little bit of the oats out and a desert blue belly lizard fell out.
I was bummed i picked his little carcass up and he moved his hand a little bit to place it on my finger. HE WAS STILL ALIVE! so i set him on a dirt bump to get some sun.
Then i dumped some more of the trap out a blue belly after blue belly after blue belly. I started lining them up on this bump. then i visited every trap there and gathered up about 15 blue bellies all virtuaqlly lifeless. luckitly I a petco pet carrier in my car and i placed them in.
Under one of the traps was my favorite lizard indigenous to socal of all time. A one foot alligator lizard. Those brutes are straight up MEAN i cornered him and he started hissing and blowing up and bit the ***** outta my finger I grabbed him and brought him home just for fun.
Well to sum up this angry post i would like to say those freakin rodent traps didnt have ONE rodent in them and are decimating the blue belly population instead. I brought them home and succesfully heated and fed them to 100 percent health. All but one lived... this was b/c when i released them in my large back yard my dog got out and pounced on one accidently breaking his spine.
The alligator lizard hates me of course but is eating everything. Ill let him go soon.
