grunion fish!

just got back from the grunion run bout an hour ago
caught a couple of em and dont know what to do, cept eat em lol
i was wondering if it would be safe if i fed them to my fish as whole or fillet whichever.
and for the grunion eggs..maybe il just throw that in the tank as well lol

i think feeding them to your fish would be like letting them swim in the tank with your fish (releasing bacteria into the tank)... unless you cooked them first.

If your worried about parasites just freeze it, Dont cook the fish or other food for that matter you lose nutrients and denature the proteins.

okay so i froze them and they are rock hard, how would i defrost them? just over hot water or leave them out?
i can put the the fish whole in the tank?
shude i cut the head off?

Either of those methods is fine. Leave the fish whole if you fish are big enough to handle them, if not, cut them up. Leave the head, nothing is as yummy as a fish head.

yeah they ate like fatasses...
as for the eggs from the fish, the african cichlid juvis loved them so did the flowerhorn

Yeah i remember stories from my grandpa and dad about the Grunion runs, they spin around on the shore to release their eggs right? must be fun to watch.
