GSP/Fig 8 Questions

I just bought 2 GSP's and am making the water brackish.
SG will finally become something like1.020.
Heavily brackish that is, but i'm just starting by raising the SG by .002 a week.
This to make sure the beneficial bacteria will not die off too quickly.
