Which would you guys prefer? First bike, but I have had experience riding before.

gsxr with the older body style because im a big guy and look silly on a little skinny bike .. thats why i have a big bike

I love the gixxers, they feel great to be on, but the only reason I am looking into an R6, is because of the end of the year sales that Yamaha has going on right now. 69.00 a month for 24 months and up to 1,000 customer cash, can't beat it. The monthly payment for a 07' GSXR 600 would be roughly 148.00 a month so that's not terribly bad.

I'm also 6'0-6'1 and weigh about 175, regardless both feel comfortable, I have ridden a gsxr 600, but have not ridden an R6, have just sat on a few at the local Yamaha/Suzuki dealer.

i personally like the R6, GSXR are badass too tho but R6 ftw

What do you like about the R6 opposed to the GSXR?

r6 all the way!! the welds are cleaner on an r6 than a gsxr... r6 doest cost as much and looks way better than the gsxr

well i love the handling system on the R6.... impressive stuff theres many videos on it if youd like to research... plus its a gorgeous looking bike and has nice curb apeal.... plus theres so many GSXr's around its almost like having minivan... there everywhere you look... nothing special for me....... although i respect the Gixxx because it really is a good bike...

To Be Exact

Light and carefully tuned Deltabox III frame and Controlled-Fill swingarm are key to the R6S’s class-leading handling performance and feel.

Fully adjustable 43mm fork reinforces R6s main strength: precise handling. Forged lower triple clamp also increases rigidity.
Fully adjustable (preload, compression and rebound damping) piggyback rear shock with 4.7 inches of travel delivers exceptional rear wheel tracking and stability.
Removable CF die cast rear subframe is light and strong.
Super-light five-spoke 17-inch wheels reduce unsprung weight; a special casting technique makes the rim section light, not to mention wickedly cool-looking.
Light, 298mm front brake discs, four-piston calipers and radial master cylinder provide unsurpassed braking power and feel.
Multifunction digital and analog instrumentation features include: programmable shift light, and the throttle is fully digital so VERY acurate revs... and no lag from string pull...
