I love the gixxers, they feel great to be on, but the only reason I am looking into an R6, is because of the end of the year sales that Yamaha has going on right now. 69.00 a month for 24 months and up to 1,000 customer cash, can't beat it. The monthly payment for a 07' GSXR 600 would be roughly 148.00 a month so that's not terribly bad.

If you're financing. Especially with new from a dealer check the financing terms and conditions. $69.00 for 24month is great , but what does it go to after that? For how long? What's the interest rate? All things to consider to make sure you don't get a bike and then realize you're locked into a long term loan, and/or end up paying out the butt by the time the loan is paid off.

Busa's are cool, but totally unnecessary. Most guys that get them are compromising for something else, if you get my drift...

Normally I would agree. But I saw a lowered one with a extended swingarm on the highway accelerating at 100mph+ in the middle of the day and now I kinda get it..

Granted though there are alot of posers that own them. Same with choppers. Same with everything else. Some people by high powered stuff to say they have it and be a fan boy. Others buy it because they have a death wish and love as much speed as they can get.

I'd buy what wins races and Martin Cardenas won last weekend on his M4 powered GSXR. Period.

no offense thats a horrible way to look at it.... because races are won because of SKILLED drivers not the bikes they are on....... i get where you are comming from..... but unless that bike is the Proven reason he won.. your input is totaly nullified ................:screwy:

R6 FTW:headbang2

It is 60 months total, after the 24 month period, the payments go up to 130ish a month. By that time all things with my grandmothers trust that she left me will have cleared, so it will be a non issue. I want to get on this because of the price now, and it will help to build some credit for me, being young it is a bit difficult to build up the credit you will need later on in life, and I would like to get a jump start.

Get which ever one you like better. Both are nice bikes. I started on a r6 myself. Look at quality as well as performace. Yahama builds a great bike.

Cool just didn't want to see you get screwed with $200.00/mo and 7 years of payments. Some dealer offers can be tricky. Some people hate long term loans(5 years +) on a bike. Sounds like it's worked out though and GL.
