GSXR-600 or YZF-R6

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the reason people get the busa is not just for the speed but for the power.. when you spend alot of time on a bike the last thing you want is to be going up and down through the gear box for the right gear to take the corners. with the busa you have the power that you dont even have to change gear.. even on roads with know corners the busa is happy to cruse along in top gear with the bike hardly ticking over. where as a 600 will have to do a bit of work to do anything. its not nice with a bike reving its guts out for hours

All I was trying to point out is that the gixxer, 600-1000, is the top AMA race bike every year. Your only going to wish you bought it later. I know a little about racing...

never had either but got a couple buddys who got the gsxr. One has it modified heavily and claims it tops at 186 mph. Dunno if its true but ive seen both and they are some mean bikes

ok now...... he just said hes not interested in speed.... what dont you get....

tech wise the gsxr is ahead, looks and responsiveness the r6, for a first bike both six hundreds are great, however on the other side, i have seen guys buy a six hundred and in six months wish they had a 1000, you may be different and a six hundred is all you may ever want good luck with whatever you do. btw i finance mc, atv, pwc. it is what i do. our store carries all 4 brands.

As it stands right now, I think I have decided on the r6, unless I learn something that just blows my mind from Suzuki. The only thing I don't particularly like about Yamaha is that if I do decide to upgrade, there is no in between from the r6 to the r1, I do like that about the gsxr's though, they have the 600, 750 and the 1000.

yea i questioned that no healthy medium myself.. from what i know the reason why is because the riding action on the 1000 is so smooth you dont feel they transaction from 600 to 1000.. just stating what the people at yamaha told me

If I don't buy another GSXR, then I'll get a Honda. Never cared for my R6. Had it for about 6 months then traded it for my GSXR600 and never looked back.

For the record, they'll both do 150+. LOL

haha... Busa as a sport touring bike.... LOL They are a drag bike, plain and simple. Too much power and turn like a school bus. They defeat the whole purpose of a sport bike.

Edit for disclaimer:

Statements made against the Hyabusa as strictly personal opinion and should only be treated as such. Should any issues arise from my negligent posting, please feel free to PM me.:D

pharoah, not to worry, the busa is a more comfortable riding bike than the more agressive style of the other sport bikes, as to sport touring??? that is what a st1300 is for. it is a good drag bike, turbo extended swing arm a little nos, its a winner, however that is not what this thread is about, op will like his r6, someone never rode either the r6 or the r1 because the power band between the two is quite noticeable.
