My gt's colors seem a little dull. it was like this when i got it. is there anything i cna do to get its colors to come out a little more or is that the brightest it will ever get. ill try to get some pictures up but can you guys let me know what your experiences have been with color. thanks

diet, stress, surroundings, age

well i just got it recently. my water is good. and i am feeding a good variety of food including pellets and fd foods also bloodworms. i also have another gt that is very bright in color. it also has a slight hump showing. could this be a male and female pair?

Lots of factors.
Could be that it is not comfortable in the new environment. Do you have both your gts in the same tank on could be stressing the other out. Could just be a female, in which case color will improve when they reach a breeding age.
Diet is important but most pellets have enough of diversity in them.
Maybe your gt is just a late bloomer.

Pecking order has now been established.
Watch that light colored one close...How much smaller is it than the brighter GT?

Is it the 'Aequidens' sp. "Goldsaum" which is actually the False Green Terror which is what Most LFS Sell. Or is it the 'Aequidens' rivulatus which is another form of the False Green Terror without all of the bright colors.

You may also have a True Green Terror which is not that colorful either.
'Aequidens' sp. "Silversaum"

My guess would be the First one if you bought it from a LFS, but you never know.

Post pics so we can see.

could be stressed, or a female, or it could just be that your background and substrate are light colored. darker surroundings equal darker colored fish

i thought the Aequidens Rivulatus was the true Green Terror? The other two were the false GTs?
