Here are mine at about 3-4". They are about 6" now and I still have not saved any fry.

How did you get yours to become darker? I got one and the colors are kinda washed out :/. The green lines and the red are bright but its not black, more of greyish brown

They've got eggs down so their colours would be more vibrant than usual.

Like Japes said they get pretty colorful when in their breeding colors. They will start to color up about a week before the actual egg laying, this will be accompanied by all the usual courtship.

Thanks for the replies guys! Looking at my GT again I think it might be a boy, there seem to be signs of a possible nuchal hump growth. Thoughts anyone?
