As an aside, I've noticed since keeping him alone for the last while; his nuchal hump has basically disappeared. It was quite prominent when he was part of a group and dominant, hoping it returns!

I've got a pink convict called bronson

I've just got into convicts after being gt mad also lol
Lol I think both display quite cunning tendencies, that make up for the sheer aggression shown in larger cichlids. I used to watch in disbelief when my convict would ambush other fish from behind plants, or slowly drift up to groups before ramming into them at full speed :/
I never kept convicts so be interesting!
It's in CT with juvi gts but he don't get chases off them only the biggest juvi gt is 6months 3cm
not big as your one who by the way is awesome!
Boyfriend bred the black and white convicts ended up with 1000 he gave them away in the end lol
but any tips for convict keeping

Obviously they're in the CT temporarily but is it OK if I ever put a gt and convict together, what would the set up be? Obviously gonna sell the juvi gts but keeping the biggest one who I named gil as he has a deformed gil and probably couldn't sell him anyway but obviously removing when gets threat to my CT but is gt /convict together a possibility?

My current GT is only 3 inches, you'll see other members with some truly amazing adult specimens
My old GT was mellow until 5 inches, then killed everything; my current one attacks everything, even danios relentlessly. Convicts are good survivors though, I'd add one once the GT gets some size and depending on the size of your set-up.
Thanks for the compliment, currently having a few problems with it due to white spot and me being impatient with treatment etc; still making mistakes as I'm only human lol.
