yea its a female i think im going to try the cubans i realy want a jag though

no other cichlids will be possible in a 3ft tank. even with a female GT. the jag is a definite no way.

i am getting a bigger tank soon by christmas and this 40 will be filled with charax gibbious and the other 40 with exos or maybe a birchir tank

so jaguars would not be the way to go :(

Assuming that you are getting a bigger tank I will ball park what I think is a great stocklist. Let's say 75 gallon I would say get one of the cool plecos that don't get too big. L128, L200 are awsome and don't get to big. One of the med pikes saxatilis group are common, cheap, and most don't get bigger then12 inches. And a small school maybee 3 red hook silver dollars. This tank would be diverse in shape and color and they will not compete with eachother. Another perk all fish are s american. Silver dollars might need more space. But it might be ok. I would try it. Also bigger is always better can't ever say that enough. Good luck.

1 GT, 2 firemouths, 1 salvini, 1 escondido and awesome filtration is what i'd go with :)
Obviously i'd be putting them in a bigger tank as they grow too big for the 40
