can anyone give me some info on green terrors
have seen a school of (2-3" a few of them are bigger than 3.5")green terrors in my lfs and they look beautiful
i want to know
1)what all can i feed them
2)how big do they get
3)with what kind of tankmates
4)how long do they live

you can feed them stuff like, pellets, brine shrimp, blood worms, prawns loads of stuff. my dad feeds his hikari cichlid gold prawns and blood worms.

they get to around 10"

a perfect tank mate is a jack dempsey, it depends on what size tank and how aggressive the actual fish is.

they live a long time im not sure how much but 10+ (someone correct if im wrong)

I had a GT for over 8 yrs. It died of a horrible eye infection after getting into a fight with my Jag...it would have lived longer otherwise. It was 10", very beautiful and personable to me. It never liked my wife though, she would aggrivate him by shaking her face by the glass and he would turn into a real glass banger lol. He would eat anything I gave him except krill but his main diet was pellets. They can be kept with most medium-aggressive cichlids, you should avoid keeping him with the super tough guys like most Amphilophus species for example.

can i keep them in groups
i mean somewhere around four

can i keep GT(3"- 3.5") in groups of four
i liked the GTs at the lfs
and he isn't gonna keep them for me for more than a day so if someone would help me out here it would be really nice

thanks for your replies in advance

If your tank is only 30 gallons, I'll have to say no. Wait until you have a larger tank. Just get 1 for now. What else is in the 30 right now?

defiently not in a 30 gal, something with a 4x1' footprint would be minimal, but if your setting up a 180 soon i'd hold them off until than. i have seen wild male green terror at both 13" and 14" but these were giants other than those nothing over 10", tankmates can be any other medium sized cichlid in the aggresion range, such as jack dempseys or veija speices

Dude you keep posting the same questions in multiple places. You should only post a question once and be patient...it will get a response.

I always buy groups if I am looking for a pair :) If a pair (breeding) does not conceren you, just get a couple. What size tank?

that was a mistake about which i had explained that in the other post,
anyways this right now is just a grow out tank, i do have plans of a 55-60 gallon tank but only after a few months and i also did read somewhere that GTs grow pretty slow
and they aren't for breeding but had to have them as chiclids are one of my favorites. they are gonna stay alone in the tank thats why was thinking of having four.
