i should add that while in a solo tank to de-stress still check for signs of illness, i doubt it is but its still prudent to check while he is alone.

Like yours he was fine for most of his life then the clamping started within' 3 months.................scooby snack.

dude, just place him in his own tank and see how he reacts.....i hate how people say this is a place where you can come and ask any question but then when you do ask that question some people jump on your case.....i feel you cause i been threw this same crap with plenty of people.....but like i said just give him his own tank

Basically if you have two GT's in one tank the sub-dominant will not flare generally speaking. As you said the dominant one flares his fins out.
