GTs fighting

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
okay the problem is done with...........i took my original "GT" to the pet store which i found out was actually a blue acara which i had never seen before and it looked a hell of a lot like a GT but pet smart lies........so i traded that one for a JD and bought a jag so now i have a JD a jag and a real GT.....i know this one is real because it looked different than the other one i just didnt think anything of it and now that i have seen the differences i know what to look for

Not to be the bearer of bad news or anything... but to keep these three fish together, you are going to need a large tank. What size tank are they in now? The problems is that the gt and jd grow a little bit slower than the Jag. Depending upon the sexes, these fish might not even be able to coexist in a tank smaller than 240 gallons. Or they could all be female, and be fine in a 125. They are all great fish, but be prepared for upgrading and separating.

well as of this moment they are in a 20 gal  but they are all small juvies............i am fully aware that they need a bigger tank.........also the jag i think is a female because it was in the store a little while and didnt grow as fast as the others it was with (it was about half the size)........and im planning on getting a larger tank............and finally im very happy because they all seem to be getting along fine and they are all beautiful fish:nilly: ..............but im crossing my fingers because i have bad luck

Goodluck you got a blue acara from petsmart the petsmart around here doesn't carry those kind of fish a very small sec of ciclids.
