None taken, it's a beautiful fish:D

nice fish xr..and awesome article i didnt read the whole thing but did skim it...i would say yes snooks do have the special jaw, but i think they should be more classified as bass then guapotes...mainly cause of there body shape..guapots have a very diffenernt body shape..then most cichlids

Very nice jag ralley! I love my male jag, he's the man. I love having people who don't know fish, check him out. Most people have never seen a fish so mean before. They can't belive that he tries to attack you through the glass. They think hes a piraniah or something. I tell them he would kill a pihrana if you put one in there. I also love my female loisellie. These are the only 2 guapotes I've ever had but some day I'd like to have a breeding pair of each.

Thanks! That's how most jags seem to be. Mine doesn't care what goes on outside (or even inside) of the tank. LOL

I'll throw in a few pictures of mine. They're not nearly as big and awsome like Rally's and Schnauser's but they're in great condition. All are 10-11"

Man I love Parachromis. These are the ultimate cichlids, or fish for that matter in my humble opinion. I can't wait to get another Male Jag. Don't know what tank mates i'll get for him, but I would like to have another parachromis species with him. They will be raised from 1-2" size so hopefully forever.

Anyway, all of the jags posted look awesome. All of the pics posted so far are great BTW.

nice guys lets keep this growin

Hey XR, is there a deformity on the top of the head of this fish, or is it just the pictures. Looks weird, but maybe it's just me.

Yeah i say there is some minor deformaty going on there the head looks funny but it's still a pretty sweet jag here's a new pic of my male acting up in front of a devil and a close up of the female.:grinno:
