Looks to be a simple brilliant rasbora

Nope. Wrong. These get way bigger. About 6 inches. Heres another pic of them. They were about 3-4 inches at the time.

Nope, not dawkinsia. It belongs to the genus Hampala.

Also wrong. Macrolepidota has stripes not 2 spots. The 2 spots are a big big hint.
