Actually it come from a Peruvian C. monoculus pair which was originally from Jeff Rapps. I believe this pair is about 3-4 years old now. The breeder Bob Allen feeds an awful nutritionally uncomplete diet which makes these fish severally deformed. These are not from Joey's (tounge33) pair. When he got out he attempted to ship his pair and lost the male of the way to the airport. There are only of few of his originals still around. I have three and I know a few others in the State with some.

hey josh, i believe mark said these other 2 monos i got from him were from joey? the small one is a runt but im getting him to eat well now.. but the big one has some really great color..

Just feed him right and i bet you will have great results ...This is my personal diet plan for Chichla some guys will frown on it but look at my results i think it speacks for itself When young gut loaded feeders and i mean feed those things till they are fat i use Koi high protien color enhancing food for the feeders also treating the for weeks in advance fattening them up all the while offering dry and tilapia fillet when they reach 10 to 12 inch i feed tilapia fillet and dry for main diet and offer feeders 4 times a week after feeding the dry and tilapia come back in about a half hour later with live for the treat and huntwheatgerm;4748240; said:

As for the i.d, that is a 2 spot mono.
Get him on hikira gold or hikira gold + and you will see a big difference in color in a few months.
