Yup, Midas (Amphilophus citrinellus) and Red Devil (Amphilophus labiatus) are two different species. There is actually even a third fish that looks very similar to them called C. zaliosum, a bit more rare and harder to find pictures of. From a quick Google search I found this pic of a male

there are lots of species in the red devil/midas complex. you have the citrinellus, labiatus, zaliosus, sp "amarillo", "chancho", xiloaensis, and a few others that are stuck in my brain fart. if you buy it at a LFS it is 99% sure to be a mutt. nothing wrong with them though, some of the best fish i ever owned were a pair of store bought midas/devils. they were outright vicious
