I bought her from a local petstore, was told she was a red texas,at the time i couldn't tell because she was stressed and was entirely black, got her home and calmed her down in a nice warm tank. revealing an orangey color. as she grew, her color darkened to this present colorand she has a slight pearling going on her body's scales, her head has a beautiful emerald green hue to it andim sure if i had a male, he would be far more colorful and easier to identify, myguess is she belongs to the "Herichthys" genus because of the pearling and the body shape that does closley resemble a texas cichlid. any ideas?
