Where are you located?

wow, i wish i got my pleco for free, any free fish to a good home is great! adoption charges? or is it like what size tank, whats in it, heres your fish? how does it work?

PEVINE11 How the adoption thing works at my store is that as long as you have a big enought tank for it and all the other fish you have will get along with it you can have the fish that is up for adoption. We like to make sure the fish/animals that are up for adoption go to good home.

I work at a pet store and we take in animals and fish that people don't want or can't take care of anymore. Well this morning someone brought in a bamboo cat shark in. It's beautiful...... it's a little over a foot long. We're gonna have a hard time finding someone with a large enough tank for it. We have a sign on the tank that says it needs a 180 gallon tank. Before he can go to someone they need proof that they have a large enough tank for him. The poor thing is probably miserable in the tank he's in now. The people who bought him didn't want him anymore because it was eating their fish...... you would think they would have known a shark would eat other fish.
I'm hoping that's he'll go to someone that as a large enough tank for him and will take good care of him.

:headbang2 I have a 217 gallon fish tank that would make it beautiful home for him,but I am in New York, where are you?:headbang2

Brown Banded Bamboo sharks acctually need 350 gallons. So its going to be hard. If your willing to ship I can help find you a home, or you can go to the link in my signature and post there. A member may be interested.

Where are you located? We have a 350 gallon for the shark. The tank is 8feet long by30inches deep by 30 inches tall. That should be big enough for him.

Well the shark is going to be going home pretty soon. A friend of another employee has a 210 gallon tank for him. He bought the tank and is in the proscess of finishing up setting the tank up. I thought they needed a minimum tank size of at least 180 gallons. The shark is going to be the only thing in the tank.
