lol, you got me. Congrats. Make sure to wash 2-3 times before putting it in, then post pics!
 
thats the thing i couldnt wash it so i just dumped it in and no fish have been in there for the last 2 hours BUT now theres 1 betta and 1 silver molly in there.. my aunt got a 5 gallon hex today along with 3 neons and 2 delta tailed guppys
 
how couldn't you wash it?!? don't you have a bucket? :duh:
 
yah but HOW was i soppuse to wash it??? and i almost ALMOST bought a gt today for 5.00.. at petsmart thay have teh CLEANEST TANK u can think of and no dead or dieing fish at all and the employie was HOT to and she keeps cichlids o baby wasnt i flirting with her lol

just fill a bucket 2/3 with sand, fill with water, then scrub and mix with your hand. When whatever becomes opaque, dump, and repeat 2 or 3 more times.
 
in your 29g? Did you use all of it? You didn't need to. 1-2" would be fine, plus you would have more water in the tank.
