This will be my second the outher one died they sold me a sick arow i think cuz all my outher fish were fine. :(

ofcourse its a silver, LOL. what would be silver, in an aro forum?

You arowana haters!!! considering normal arowanas go for 75$ around here and i got mine for 29.99 i thought it was hella good deal...

also why does my arowanas tail and fins looks so red and its bodys so blue.. it hought silvers where like silver looking ?

It'll go through some additional color changes as it matures. And, don't mind anyone on what they think of silver arowanas. If the fish makes you happy then, let the naysayers go to hell.

:headbang2 lol oddball i love u :) lmao  thanks for the info.. i wish my arowana stayed red though it looks so cool.. silver/blue/red its almost the american flag colors :D

this fish is eating like a pig to :)

You can reduce his risk of developing drop-eye by offering the bulk of his food on the surface. Offer him arowana sticks/floating carnivore sticks, Cut raw shrimp, gut-loaded crickets, FD krill, etc in his diet. I also recommend adding a couple of drops of Vita-Chem or Aro-Vites to the cut shrimp and FD krill to provide for any missing nutrients/minerals. Also, once he passes the 1ft mark, allow one day a week as a 'No Food" day to allow his system to purge a bit. After the 20" mark, feed 3 days on with 1 no-feed day off. Have fun with him.

He's eating hikari arowana sticks along with some chichlid floating pellets.. i also dropped a guppi in on accident and he chomped that.. i was like damn!! my guppie! but o well :(

also ill try and get some vita-chem or something when i go back to the fish store :) ill post pics when he gets bigger :)

also if i feed him pellets/sticks how many times a days hould i feed him?

My own preference is to feed young aros twice a day until they pass the 1ft mark. Then, I feed them once a day and follow the schedule I posted above. However, I do occassionally cheat and throw the aro a cricket or two in the evening when I feed out the grow-outs.
