Okay guys I measured him before I released it and it's exact measurement is 5" so my mistake for saying 6". I apologize for that.
 
Ages ago when I worked at the lfs we had a guy trade in a Modesta that was a clean 7" easy. It was a miserable monster that systematically wiped out his community tank.

I sometimes wonder if that's the reason these big nice loaches get traded in.
 
I hope it doesn't cause too much chaos in my tank. Right now it's fighting with the biggest
Y. Eos 4" for the darkest cave. I could hear the constant clicking. So far I don't see any real damage but will definitely have to keep an eye on him.

They are close enough species, maybe the will establish a hierarchy.
