Nope. Actually that isn't a species. The genus Rieppeleon was described in a 2004 paper by Matthee, Tlbury and Townsend. You're probably seeing something like "Rieppeleon Matthee, Tilbury & Townsend, 2004". Frequently, immediately following a species or genus, the citation to the scientific description is provided immediately afterward. Sometimes it is in parentheses but that indicates that the species name has changed slightly since the description (generally it has been moved into a different genus then what it was originally described in). When the citation is not in parentheses, it means the species or genus is valid as it was described originally.
Anyway, I'll give you a hint, it is a Rhampholeon species.

Thanks Chris. I found a post by Nick Mole introducing a rare ramph. Looked fit for the right guess... and seems it was. Besides everything else was already guessed.

You got it! Elaphe oxycephala (Boie, 1827) The Red-tailed Green Ratsnake. Lengths of up to 240cm or 8 feet in length. Temperatures of 75F to 88F. Relative humidity ~80-90% How about a bonus round?Vicious_Fish;3188018; said:
