Bingo! though the larger one is also posted as the P. bracyura, it was from a fishing guide site so may be misidentified (it was listed as the world record for this species) other references list them as having a maximum width across the disc of 99 cm or just shy of 40 ". I actually think they were right because of the rounder disk and because it was caught in Paraguay. Anyway it is the short-tailed river stingray.

I had it the Paratrygon aiereba gets to 120cm Diameter and the Potamotrygon bracyura got to 90cm but that picture proved that incorrect . This is a Paratrygon aiereba

AcCCK, an African cichlid, run away!!! LOL.
I can't find any record of aierebas in Paraguay, hmmm. Wist that picture showed the tail, oh well.
 
maybe a weird colored porkfish?
 
I meant the one of the two guys standing with one. The bracyura is rounder and has a short tail but in the picture you can't see the tail.
