I know i got the name wrong, but was it the fish in the picture? it looks exactly the same. Has the same head to body shape and everything!

bagarius yarelli, or bagarius bagarius. I thought suchus was more horizontally compressed and elongated?

Its bagarius bagarius, I've had yarelli, they're a bit more mottled, but the picture is black and white, probably dead, so probably not accurate. I have a difficult time distinguishing between the two!
